Cleansing your skin effectively

Our skin is our largest vital organ covering us from head to toe.  For our overall well being it is important to have a clean skin.  Remember that clean and healthy skin means a healthy body and a happier you.

The skin function is protecting you 24 hours per day and keeping infections out. It is the first line of defense against attacks on your health. When you take care of your skin, you're helping it do its job. And taking care of your skin today will help prevent future problems, like wrinkles and even skin cancer.

Proper hygiene is a very important for health. For sure, you do not want to smell bad when you go out on the street

Proper hygiene should be a daily part of our lives.  Poor hygiene often reflects poor health.  Here are simple tips on how to start cleansing your skin, the outermost organ of your body.

Tips top for your daily hygiene

Ø Start simple. You do not need expensive products to care for your skin.  Gentle cleansers or soaps are usually enough for the daily cleansing of your skin.

Ø Start early. People tend to think that skin hygiene can be postponed indefinitely. This is not the case if you want to have healthy skin in your old age. Start pampering and protecting your skin so it can stay fresh as you age.

Ø Use mild soap cleansers. Harsh cleansers contain chemicals that can dissolve your skin’s natural protein and oil.  Cleansing products should be as chemical-free as possible. Deodorant soaps shouldn't be used on your face. They are made of strong chemicals and also leave a detergent film behind. This may irritate your skin and will clog your pores. Go natural.

Ø Use lukewarm water.  The water used on your face should always be lukewarm. Too hot can scald or even burn your skin.  Too cold water can actually dry your skin.

Ø Be gentle. Some people tend to think they ought to scrub their skin raw, but this is one of the things to avoid. You should instead be careful not to damage or tear your skin. Exfoliating it will actually help remove dead skin cells but go easy so it will not hurt you.

Ø Tone it. Toning helps keep the skin clear and firm. The best tones around are those containing alpha hydroxy acids and glycolic. You should avoid those containing alcohol and those that are marked photosensitive.

Ø Moisturize it. Moisturizers help prevent water loss by either drawing moisture to the outer layer of the skin, or coating the skin's surface with a layer of substance, sealing moisture into the skin. The best substances for an intensive moisture treatment are pure vitamin E, or Aloe Vera oil. The oil is available in liquid form. Alternatively just break open a capsule and apply the oil directly to the skin. This is a great treatment for the sensitive skin under your eyes. Remember it is very important to moisturize this sensitive area of the face. It is one of the first places to show age because the under-eye skin secretes none of the necessary oils on its own.

Take good care of your skin.  You have to do it yourself.
